A Spiritual Journey in the footsteps of Mother Clelia

For the past few years, the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus have been giving life to a spiritual way for the laity, especially for their families.

The initiative to share the spirituality of the Congregation and the charism of its foundress, Clelia Merloni, was the object of careful reflection on the part of the 15th General Chapter of the Apostles (July 2004) which recommended “an incentive to promote, with apostolic zeal and creative faithfulness, the journey of GFASC and other groups that are inspired by Clelian spirituality.” Mother Clelia made present the love of the Heart of Jesus and transmitted her charism to the Congregation. To her spiritual daughters she left the task of carrying to all nations the message of salvation. Today we entrust this charism, given by the Holy Spirit, also to the laity, to GFASC, Friends of Mother Clelia, and to all those who desire to live this spirit, becoming apostles as the first Apostles, apostles of love and apostles of reparation.The Great Family of the Sacred Heart (GFASC) is a mission for the family, with the principal aim of consecrating families to the Heart of Jesus and supporting them in their desire to live an authentic Christian life. Belonging to the Great Family GFASC means following a program of life that involves the whole person and impels each member to witness to the love of the Heart of Christ in the world. The Heart of Jesus is a gift from God to the Church, to humanity. We all can collaborate so that this gift will become a reality in the heart of every person. Then will the reign of God be established in each family and in society - a Reign of Love, Truth, Life, Grace and Peace: a civilization of Love.

Heart of Jesus, source of life

The objective of GFASC is to lead each person to the Source of life, to rebuild society and the family through prayer and faith-filled and loving service, and thus form witnesses to the tenderness, goodness and mercy of the Heart of Jesus.

A loving relationship with the Sacred Heart of Jesus strengthens us to cultivate our spiritual life and our mission in the world. Living heart to Heart with the Divine Teacher, we discover the infinite love of the Father and become a true adorer in spirit and in truth.We must learn from Him and center our lives on the Gospel, which bids us to reveal Christ to all and see in everyone the face of Jesus.
