Juniorate

Formation

The juniorate is the final phase of initial formation. It is the period of temporary vows which may last from five to nine years. During this time the junior sister is given the opportunity to internalize and live the values she has already acquired, while she continues to integrate her religious and spiritual formation with educational and professional preparation and apostolic experience. The general aim of the juniorate is to prepare the young sister for her total self-gift to God through the profession of perpetual vows as an Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
