Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Apostle nurse extends the smile of welcome, the word that brings peace and hope, the arm that blesses and heals, the heart that loves without condition.

The Apostles serve in:

- Hospitals
- Clinics
- Nursing schools
- Pastoral programs for the sick and for their families
- Health care education programs

In the field of health care ministry the Apostle dedicates herself to upholding human dignity, especially against the threats of abortion, euthanasia, and experimental exploitation of life. She is ready to meet the new forms of poverty present in her apostolate, a poverty experienced by drug addicts, people with AIDS or other terminal illnesses, the handicapped, and others under her care (cf. Document of the 13th General Chapter, n. 100).
