Foundress of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
I was recently diagnosed with a viral disease that I thought would affect my entire life, a disease that would have changed my whole existence. It not only would have changed my life but the most terrible thought was that it would also damage the life of another. I was so scared--I cried a lot, couldn't eat, started to lose control. Then I began to pray to Mother Clelia. I learned about Mother Clelia from a beautiful family who had a young son admitted to a long term care facility where I had worked. The family had told me of the works of Mother Clelia and of the story of the family's prayers and how they were answered. They had given me one of the pamphlets and I had kept it now for over three years. I prayed and prayed to Mother Clelia. A few days ago the phone rang with news of my final diagnosis. Blessed be God and all of our heavenly intercessors--there was no viral disease. My test results were negative! I cried again, this time with great gratitude to Mother Clelia and for the miracle I personally was granted.

In June 2010, my sister-in-law sent me a medal and a small prayer card of Mother Clelia Merloni. I had just been through cardiac surgery and in and out of the hospital for a month. Devotion to Mother Merloni was new to me, but not to my sister-in-law. She is a breast cancer survivor and prayed to Mother Merloni during her illness. Around the middle of June 2010, I offered up the short prayer to Mother Merloni for a medical problem that I had been experiencing for almost 10 months. It had nothing to do with my cardiac problems. It was an unbearable itch [that I did not want to] show to a doctor. . . . The itch was so intense that I could not avoid scratching the area, which usually caused serious bleeding. I started praying to Mother Merloni for the itching to cease. After about 2 weeks, the itching stopped! This was after 10 months of unbearable discomfort. Was it a miracle? I believe it was.Was it through Mother Merloni's intercession? I believe it was, but I was also praying to others as well during the entire 10 months. However, it wasn't until Mother Merloni was added to my prayer list that the itching stopped.

I was diagnosed in February 2010 with pneumonia. I have been with wheezing and lung infections through June. I started to pray to Mother Clelia and was sent to a pulmonologist. He ordered all kinds of tests. My lungs are good, with no damage. They saw a lung module and it was nothing. I have diabetes and have been off medicines since September 1997. In June they had to put me back on diabetic drugs. I am praying that Mother Clelia will answer my prayer for full recovery. I am forever grateful.

I gave several people Mother Clelia pins and prayer cards to help in their time of need, and she truly did....I truly believe she helped my mother-in-law who was diagnosed with stomach cancer at 70 and lived until 96; my friend diagnosed with advance prostrate cancer ten years ago and still going strong (he says the prayer to Mother Clelia daily); my sister.in.law's sister diagnosed iwth lung cancer five years ago and is surviving. I introduced ehr to Mother Clelia because she knew that Momther Clelia helped me through breast cancer in 2002.
I wore her pin to every treatment and the nurses there became curious so I told them about her. They were amazed to see how easily I responded to chemo and radiation with very little interruption in my daily life. As a matter of fact I did not miss work and very few people I worked with knew I was being treated for cancer.

My daughter was seriously ill and waiting for a kidney transplant. She was waiting to be put on the list for donors when I met an Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus who gave me the prayer to Mother Clelia, which I began praying. One day the phone rang. It was my daughter. A young mother whose child she had taught in Pre-K had donated her kidney! My heart danced and my "thank you" went out to Mother Clelia. She had interceded for me and my prayers were answered. I had received the grace through the intercession of Mother Clelia. I shall never stop singing her praises or stop telling anyone of my miracle that I received because of my faith and prayers to Mother Clelia.

My little niece Marta, 2˝ years old, is sensitive, sweet, intelligent, good, and lively. Because of this liveliness I feared I would lose her during these past few days, but by the grace of God all is resolved and I feel the need to share that grace.
One morning, as I was greeting a friend of mine, Marta moved away from me and in an instant a shelf holding a heavy slab of alabaster fell on her. Everything was crushed and the alabaster was shattered to pieces. I believe it is a miracle that nothing happened to Marta.
I am very devoted to the Sacred Heart (this happened during the novena of the feast). I always wear a medal of Mother Clelia, whom I always invoke for all the needs of my family, and I attribute to her the grace that this event resulted in nothing more than a scare. The child was brought immediately to the emergency room and examined, but she did not have any serious injuries and returned right away to her normal life.
I feel the need to share this great favor and to express my gratitude to the Servant of God Mother Clelia Merloni.

Six years ago I lost a child in a spontaneous abortion and 2 years later the same thing happened. I got pregnant once again, but at 20 weeks the doctors noticed a very serious malformation of the heart and felt that the only solution would be to interrupt the pregnancy. Both of us were opposed to this and decided to keep the baby, convinced that the Lord would give us the strength to face all that could happen.
After the baby girl was born she had a heart operation and then another after a few months. Unfortunately, things began to go badly and her condition continually worsened to the point that she had to have a tracheotomy. But even this did not help her and the doctors told us that only a miracle would be able to save our baby.
We prayed constantly during these months and asked our community also to pray for our baby. A sister I know well came to see Gloria and placed near her an image of Mother Clelia. She told me to pray very hard that she would hear me. The sisters of my parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus also prayed, interceding with Mother Clelia. The miracle that no one was by now expecting, considering the baby’s desperate condition, happened. Now Gloria walks, talks, no longer has the tracheotomy, and is living like every little girl her age.
From that day on we always pray to Mother Clelia to protect and watch over the life of our little girl always.

After having prayed the prayer to the Blessed Trinity to obtain graces through the intercession of Mother Clelia, I wish to share a grace I received through her intercession.
My daughter, Maria Sofia Zarza Fernandez, had to take an exam for veterinary assistants. She felt very insecure and asked me to pray to Mother Clelia. Since I had prayed and entrusted my concerns many times to Mother Clelia after I found the prayer pamphlet in St. Peter’s Parish, that day while she was taking the exam I was praying and felt very calm and at peace. She then called me to tell me the good news that she had passed the exam with the highest grade.
I am sure that Mother Clelia accompanied her the whole time during the exam. I, Maria del Rosario, mother of Maria Sofia, am baptized and live my baptism with deep commitment. I am devoted to the Sacred Heart and I entrust to him my life and my family. I regard Mother Clelia as my spiritual mother. I hope that the Servant of God Clelia Merloni will soon be raised to the altar of our Church.
