Consecration to the Sacred Heart and Enthronement in the Family

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is an unconditional gift of oneself to Him and an act of abandonment to His love; it is a commitment to abandon the past, be converted, and live in authentic love of God and neighbor. It is to make Christ known and loved. Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the home means to invite Him to reign as Lord of the past, the present, and the future.

“It is this Heart, sign of love and of redemption, that turns its gaze toward all in every time and culture, to attain from this fount of salvation, the faith that illumines, the hope that saves and the charity that unites us all in one family and makes the Heart of Christ the heart of the world” (Document of the 13th General Chapter, n. 4).

Three meetings are held with the families in preparation for the Consecration to the Sacred Heart and Enthronement in the Family, amd a fouth meeting on Mother Clelia's charism:

Commitment of the Family that consecrates itself to the Heart of Jesus

  • To participate in the life and mission of the Church, in the Sacraments, in witnessing to one’s own faith
  • To read the Word of God and meditate on its richness
  • To pray in the family
  • To live the spirit of love, glory, and reparation, especially on the First Friday of each month
  • To offer daily to the Heart of Christ one's gratitude for the many benefits received
  • To perform works of charity for others
  • To uphold the dignity of life in all its stages
  • To participate in the development of a Christian society

I offer them for the intentions
of our bishopsand

and in particular for those recommended
