Forlì: Opening of the Clelian Year on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mother Clelia Merloni and the 50th anniversary of the opening of Mother Clelia Merloni School in Forlì.
On October 16, 2010, the Clelian Year was officially opened in Forlì, the birthplace of Mother Clelia Merloni, with a solemn Eucharistic liturgy celebrated by Bishop Lino Pizzi in the Cathedral of Forlì. In attendance, representing the General Council of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, were Sr. Alice Reginato e Sr. Marta Dalcin.
Sr. Annalaura Calvitti, Provincial Secretary of the Northern Italian Province of the Apostles and a native of Forlì, gave an interview for the occasion on local TV in which she spoke of the life and person of Mother Clelia, the works of the Congregation, and the Apostles’ missionary activity. She also spoke of the 50 years of Apostle presence in Forlì and of her personal vocation story.
The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Forlì will host a festive celebration of Mother Clelia's birth on March 12, 2011.
